Input form for ISD 186 Regarding Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Work

Being a safe, welcoming, and supportive school district for students and families of all backgrounds is a requirement for all public school districts (MN Statute 121A.031).  To that end goal, the leadership teams in Pequot Lakes Public Schools have been working over the past several years to develop a more caring and supportive environment and to help students develop self-awareness and a diverse world view.  Part of this work has involved learning to be more aware of biases and how to be more inclusive and welcoming in our practices.  The district is inviting input from the community about these efforts.  At this time the school board plans to share a summary of the input at the May 10th board work session.  The electronic form will be opened for input April 26th at 8am and will be closed at 4pm on April 28th.

For those interested, here is some information available specific to the SEED program, which is one strand of the district's efforts to be more inclusive, welcoming, and equitable to students of diverse backgrounds.
