The education model is determined in consultation with public health based upon the number of new cases in the county and the number of new or active cases in the schools and school district community (specific zip codes, townships, or connections to the schools).

Every student and staff member must check their health each morning BEFORE going to school.  STAY HOME if you have a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher or if you have any symptoms of illness, and notify the appropriate school office.  See the MDH COVID-19 page for more detailed information.  Use this MDH Decision Tree to help decide if you need to quarantine or stay home.  Also, here is a Home Screening Tool and an Attendance Guide for Parents from MDH.

Mental health support continues to be available for students.  If your child is experiencing any mental health symptoms,
  • depressive symptoms (sadness, losing interest in previously enjoyed activities, difficulty focusing)
  • anxiety (excessive worry, racing thoughts, trouble concentrating)
  • change in sleeping/eating patterns
  • change in attitude
  • excessive fear/guilt
  • extreme mood shifts
