Taking a few minutes to sync your computer or smartphone will allow you to always stay up to date with district and school events and your child's homework assignments. Once you've completed the sync, your device is good to go for the remainder of the year. 

Choose the type of calendar you would like to sync from the links below. 


District and school calendars are housed in Google calendars and are accessible via the school website or by syncing to your device. These calendars have important information regarding days off, events, standardized testing, etc. These calendars do not include classroom assignments and tests. 

iOS Devices (iPhone & iPad)

Getting Started:

  1. Open the Settings application.
  2. Open "Mail, Contacts, Calendars".
  3. Open "Add Account"
  4. Open "Gmail"

Enter in the Your Account Information:

  1. In the Name field enter your name.
  2. In the Email field enter your full Pequot Lakes Public Schools email address as shown in the image below.
  3. In the Password field enter your Pequot Lakes Public Schools email password.
  4. In the Description field enter a descriptive name of this calendar such as "Pequot Lakes Public Schools Calendar" as shown below.
  5. Tap Next at the top of your screen.
  6. You may be prompted with a message that reads "Cannot Get Mail: The user name or password for "" is incorrect."
  7. If this happens, tap OK and tap Next again.
  8. This will prompt you with another message reading "This account may not be able to send or receive emails. Are you sure you want to save?" Since this is a calendar set up, tap Save.
  9. Turn off MailContacts, and Notes.
  10. Turn on Calendars.
  11. Tap Save.

Your Pequot Lakes Public Schools Calendar should now be configured for your iOS device. You can select which calendars to display through the Calendar app on your iOS device.

Android (Motorola, Many Samsung, LG, and HTC Smart Phones)

The easiest way to sync Google calendar with your Android device is to use the native Google Apps installed on the device (mail, contacts, calendar). To use your Pequot Lakes Public Schools google calendar, please follow these steps:

  1. Open the Accounts & sync settings screen on the device
  2. Choose Add account
  3. Choose Google
  4. Choose Sign in when prompted
  5. Sign in with your full Pequot Lakes Public Schools email address and email password
  6. Select which services you would like to sync.

You can also download gmail or Google Docs via the Google Play store. You still must add your PL schools account to your Accounts as above. 


Google has a program called Google Mobile - Sync which will sync your calendar to your Blackberry. By default, it will sync your calendar(s) every two hours.

Windows Mobile Devices

Google has a program called Google Sync which will sync up to five calendars wirelessly with your Windows Mobile Device.

iCal- Apple's Calendar for Mac desktops and laptops (Mac OS 10.6 or higher)

  1. Open Calendar (iCal if you have OS X Version 10.6), go to Preferences and choose the Accounts tab.
  2. Click the + button to add an account.
  3. Select 'Google' under the Account Type
  4. Type in your Pequot Lakes Public Schools username and password
  5. When your finished, select the create button

If you would like to sync another Google  calendar other than your personal email, you will need a URL of the Google Calendar. Staff and students can instructions on how to get this custom URL by clicking here.


The Moodle Calendar is one unique calendar which includes activities, assignments and tests assigned to your student for all of their classes. Parents and students can sync this calendar with their device in order to keep track of upcoming assignments, quizzes and classroom activities. 

The Moodle Calendar sync follows the same process as above using a custom URL to subscribe to the calendar. 

IMPORTANT: Parents will need to have their students log into their Moodle account before going on to the steps below. 

If you would like to sync your Google calendar with your Moodle class calendar, follow these steps:

  1. Log into the Pequot Lakes Moodle
  2. Click on the "Go to calendar..." link located in the Upcoming Events block.
  3. Click on the "Export calendar" button in the center of the window.Export calendar.png
  4. Select the options of your choice, and then click on the "Get calendar URL" button. CalendarURL.png
  5. Select and copy the URL that is given for iCalendar export.

From here, you can paste the URL into whatever calendar system you're using. If you're using iCal on a Mac, choose 

File > New Calendar Subscription and paste the URL

Follow the on-screen directions and make sure that "iCloud" is selected which will sync the calendar(s) with your other Apple devices such as an iPhone. 

If you want to add your Moodle calendar to a Google Calendar:

  1. Now go to your Google Calendar and click on the Add > Add by URL link. Add calendar.png
  2. Paste your Moodle calendar URL into the Public Calendar Address: field and click the Add button.

Your Moodle calendar should now sync with your Google Calendar based on the options you selected.


Stay up to date on changes to the PL Athletics Calendar by syncing your personal device. 

iCal- Apple's Calendar for Mac desktops and laptops (Mac OS 10.6 or higher)

  1. Open Calendar (iCal if you have OS X Version 10.6), go to File > New Calendar Subscription
  2. Copy and paste the follow URL address into the box.
  3. Follow the directions making sure that iCloud is selected which will sync to your iPhone or iPad

Google Calendar-

1. Go to your Google Calendar and click on the Add > Add by URL link.
